We welcomed Yona and Brian of the Royal British Legion Carterton branch today. They took part in the Remembrance Day service by reading and laying a wreath at the memorial. We also welcomed Sophie, a serving service woman, and a very talented bugler who enhanced the service beautifully with her playing.
Ex- servicemen also joined us representing the armed forces community.
Yona and Brian told us of the problems in keeping the British Legion branches running – they really need help to increase membership so that the Royal British Legion can carry on providing life-changing support for the Armed Forces community.
